What a Beautiful Day!

Hi all! I know it's been a few days since my last post, but DH and I (and the in-laws) have been busy bees outside in the yard! We have some pesky lil (GINORMUS) rocks that we are trying to get rid of so our yard looks like a nice, level yard that is easily mowed. Aside from that we are also moving trees, shrubs, plants, etc. (to my liking). Here's a picture of Dan on the tractor/back ho doing what he does best -- making a mess!

I have also been trying my green thumb on some posies around the house. Here's one of my hanging baskets.

In one of my baskets I have a new friend, a bird friend, her name is Bella...Bella has 3 robin eggs in her nest in my brand new basket! Every time we go on the porch she flies away. Yesterday between working and eating outside, we weren't sure if she was going to come back or not. It must have been late last night or this morning but she's back and we are glad for her babies sake. Here's a picture of our newest neighbor -- Bella.

There are also tons of flowers blooming around the yard. The people that lived here before had a small fortune in plants! They are just so sparatically placed that we are just trying to get them in some sort of order (flower beds, etc.). I will be posting more pics of our yard in bloom in the days to come...right now we have beautiful dark purple iris's starting to open up! I can't wait to share!

Have a Happy Memorial Day and enjoy the beautiful weather before it rains!

new TAC goodies...eye candy...mmm mmm

Hey all...sorry it's been a bit since my last post, but guess what?!?!?!? That's right! No more class until July! Woo Hoo! Our professor loved our final presentation and actually asked us to present it to his future classes (ya, we're good...lol), what an honor!

So, I went to Kathy's (Bag Ho Bedford Girl's) house tonight to pick up my new TAC goodies I ordered with her order...I love them...a bunch of neat embellishments to try out, some Bazzil paper (we sell monochromatic paper packs) and my new toy....a SCOR-PAL! I can't wait to try it out!

The embellishments are buttons, brads, and staples (in black/metal colors for Dan's motorcycle scrapbook), yellow paper posies, red scrappers floss (one of my new faves!), and some white and brown liquid applique.

I saw a post from one of my web Angels about how you can make a card textured like suede using the liquid applique so I am gonna test it out for a card for Kathy's party. I am going to make a few samples and let her pick which one she'd like to do for her party. It's the last Sunday in June for those of you that know you'll be invited!

Hopefully I'll have a chance to play with my new goodies this week sometime...I'll keep you posted and post what I come up with. Gotta go check Barb's blog for her Make and Take Monday project...

G'nite girls!

SCS - ATC - MFT - BELLA - TAC

Hey all! Just a quick post tonight -- I have to finish my paper for my last CLASS! Not sure if you are all familiar with Splitcoast Stampers, but it is one of my favorite sites! There are tutorials, contests, forums, classifieds, and swaps (MY FAVE!). My DH yells at me for being on there so much, I tell him it's my 'online scrapbooking family'. One of my dear friends, Paula (aka scrapbratmother on SCS) is hosting a cute ATC swap. An ATC is an 'artist trading card' for those of you who don't know. Her swap is with MFT (My Favorite Things) and Bella stamps. After this class I plan to do a similar swap but with (drum roll.....) THE ANGEL COMPANY stamps! Yeah! Paula is such a creative lady check out her swap and her gallery on SCS, it's free to join and post! Here's a link to her swap...http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=347916.
Have a nice night girls!

Dreams really do come true...

Hey all! Just a quick post tonight as I will be busy with the last project of my CLASS this week...another presentation and paper, what fun! Anyhow, last week my friend Jessica and I got a little crafty creating invitations for her bridal shower. We needed it to be simple and quick since it's fast approaching. So, we based the idea off of my wedding shower invite and just tweaked it a bit. Here's the picture...

At the bottom of the vellum, under the invite info it says "Dreams Really Do Come True", Disney's theme...it seemed appropriate!...Under the vellum is a picture of her fiance actually proposing to her infront of the castle at Magic Kingdom! Talk about a priceless picture...look...

They were getting ready to take a pic, so family members had their cameras out and ready to go, but little to anyone's knowledge he got down on his knee and popped the question! How sweet. I just wanted to share our little creation. The shower is June 14th so I won't be able to attend the Carding Bee...what a bummer! I'll try to post Thursday or Friday, if not maybe Sunday...until then, keep the babble coming and g'nite girls!

P.S. Sorry if the pictures seem dark, I wasn't in a well lit room when I took them.

Just Chicken Up...

Hey girls! Just a quick post tonight. I got together with some girlfriends and we had dinner at Chili's tonight, it was fun! Anyhow, I got to thinking about one of my dear friends from UPJ that I student taught with. I haven't talked to her in awhile so I decided that I was going to send her a card. Recently I took a day and stamped a bunch of images and had this card partially made, so I just watercolored it and sent it on its merry little way!

I love this ribbon...dollar spot at Michael's!

These are My Favorite Things Stamps -- Punny Farm set...I know I know, it's not TAC but what can I say I love them all! Along the side of the card I stamped "Cluck" a few times in yellow on yellow. The inside of the card says "Just Chicken Up on You" with a few more chickens and "Clucks" -- how cute! I also stamped a little chick on the back and it says "peep" where you would put your "Made By" stamp & signature. I hope she likes it!

That's all for tonight...off to work on some, you guessed it, CLASS WORK! Only one more class to go then a break until July!
G'nite Ladies,

I love TAC!

Hey girls! I have been crafty tonight! As many of you know, today was Teacher Appreciation Day. At school, some classes were given the assignment to select teachers that have impacted their lives. I was shocked and excited to receive 4 letters from students. I really didn't expect any since I am just a sub but that makes them even more special. The one letter actually made me tear up it was so nice. My point is that I decided to make those girls feel special like they did for me, so I made them these fabulous cards! Check them out!

I had to carefully select the stamps so that they didn't think I was an old lady, I just love these shoe stamps from TAC! The set is called Kallioppe. The pattern paper is from the Sands of Time paper pack too!

Here's a close up of my 2 favorites! On the outside front it says "Those shoes make you look so skinny!" Too cute!

I even made coordinating envelopes! The inside of the card has a sentiment that says "You only live once but if you do it right once is enough."

I hope they enjoy these little cards as much as I enjoyed their letters! Happy Teacher Appreciation Day everyone! Keep the babble coming!

g'nite,

Becky

I have company...

Hi girls! It's good to see that I have company and you are actually reading this babble...lol...I was really motivated to get a card made for one of my many pregnant friends tonight, but I have the worst headache...I was outside helping DH rake our leaves...it's never-ending, it's seriously ridiculous! I hope to get those cards made tomorrow...I got the cutest pregnancy stamp set, check it out

My mom got it for me from Michael's I think...she can't wait for me to have a baby...I'm like slow down sister, you have 3 nephews and Cheryl's about ready for #2....I have plenty of time! Hopefully tomorrow I can share a picture of a creation using this cute little stamp set.

Keep the babble coming....

Becky

P.S. The shower was small but went well. I can't believe my cousin is having a baby! She's like 5 years younger than me.

Blog Bumm...

Hey all! I know I've been a bit of a blog bum (or who*e) as some of you Bedford girls would say...but I had class 2 weeks in a row and we have to do a presentation each time...this guy is getting old...anyhow...no class for 2 weeks (and only 1 more to go!) so I should be able to get some babbling in.

We are going to my cousin's baby shower today. It should be fun. My aunt called last night and so we (mom, Jen, and I) have to rescue my cousin's shower from disaster...long story but her in-laws are inconsiderate. My aunt lives 800 miles away and simply felt helpless so here are to save the day! LOL

Anyhow, I have nothing fancy or frilly to post like Barb. I didn't do anything scrapbook related for National Scrapbook Day...which was a bummer...I'll try to post SOMETHING fun tonight or tomorrow.

Keep checkin' back and I promise I'll do better! Thanks for looking!
